Helldivers 2 is the best—selling game of February in the USA. Skull and Bones came in fourth place
The analytical company Circana has prepared a report on the state of the American gaming market for February 2024. Below are the main conclusions.

- Last month, residents of the United States spent $ 4.7 billion on the purchase of video games, gaming hardware and gaming accessories. Compared to February 2023, their spending increased by 2%.
- Sales of video games amounted to $ 4.14 billion (+5%), sales of hardware — $ 349 million (-30%), sales of accessories — $ 219 million (+25%).

- The PlayStation 5 has once again become the best-selling console of the month, both in units and in dollar terms.
- PlayStation Portal is the best—selling gaming accessory in February in dollar terms. The DualSense Edge wireless controller was the leader in terms of the number of devices sold.
- The top five best-selling premium games in February included Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Skull and Bones and Tekken 8.

- Helldivers 2 also showed the best sales in the United States since the beginning of the year. In addition, it has the seventh largest launch in the history of Sony-published games. 60% of sales of Helldivers 2 came on Steam.
- Circana has recently started tracking not only sales, but also the number of monthly active users (MAU) from the United States in games on different platforms. According to her, in February Fortnite took the first place in MAU on PlayStation consoles. Also in the top 5 on PlayStation are Call of Duty, GTA V, NBA 2K24 and Madden NFL 24.
- Fortnite also led the way in MAU on Xbox consoles. Next to her in the top are Call of Duty, Palworld, Madden NFL 24 and GTA V.
- The most popular game on Steam was Helldivers 2. Other games in the top 5 on MAU are Palworld, Counter-Strike 2, Lethal Company and Baldur's Gate 3.
